Search in the moss and ferns for these mushrooms:

Cantharellus formosus aka Golden Chanterelle mushroom

Chanterelles often grow entangled with the moss and ferns that grow between Fir and Hemlock trees, they give off an apricot + nuts odor 

Hypomyces lactifluorum aka Lobster mushroom

Lobsters are often first visible as small slices of red peaking  out of the ground surrounded by ferns, moss, duff, or thickets​​

Hydnum oregonense aka hedgehog mushroom

Hedgehogs tend to grow in the same moss and ferns as Chanterelles, starting a few weeks later in the year​​

Boletus Edulis aka King Bolete mushroom

Boletes grow with both conifer and deciduous trees in the time between the heavy rains and the first hard freeze​​

Cantharellus tubaeformis aka Winter Chanterelle mushroom

Winter Chanterelle can often be found in the same location as Golden Chanterelle, just a few weeks later in the year​​
