Meadow Mushroom

Agaricus Campestris

I'm still learning Meadow Mushrooms, and identifying any white gilled mushroom is for experts only due to similar looking deadly mushrooms. Meadow mushrooms grow in grassy, open areas and are distinguished from toxic look alikes by their mushroomy smell (not chemically or licoricey), white flesh that doesn't stain yellow when cut, and lack of volva or cup at the base of the stem.
